What is your favorite genre of music?
If you’ve read some of my other posts, you’ll know that we recently did a road trip up through Central Australia (not to brag but it was an awesome trip!!!)
There are large parts of the Aussie landscape that have poor, if any, day to day internet coverage. In modern cars that don’t offer CDs or cassettes (what even is a cassette, some young peeps cry?), it can be a real challenge to stream music.
So, in preparation, before we left, we downloaded songs from our paid streaming services onto a local device so we could listen to them en route. In fact, my hubby even read through a “Top 100 albums you should listen to before you die” almanac and carefully curated a selection for our listening pleasure.
After 17 days and close to 1000 songs, I can confidently say that my favourite genre is…. the 70s.
I give you…. The Carpenters, Bee Gees, America, Led Zeppelin, The Police, Bruce Springsteen, Bread, Chicago, etc.
I rest my case. I’m a sucker for a great 70s tune and no other genre will ever have my heart! In the words of Carole King, “It’s too late, baby, now it’s too late.”
I’m a child of the 70s, so maybe that was always going to come to pass, but hey, I’m owning it.

Listen well, friends.
