A doctor, baker, and candlestick maker

If you could host a dinner and anyone you invite was sure to come, who would you invite? I would love to share a meal with minds and hands that inspire and nurture our lives. Points for discussion: – how we can improve health and wellbeing in an increasingly toxic world, – how we can… Continue reading

    You, me, and Taylor Swift

What do you think gets better with age? I think we do. We get better with age because we learn as we go. We apply lessons learned. Sometimes, well, sometimes not so. But we continue to evolve. We are all a work in progress. Like Taylor Swift, we hone our craft, find ourselves, and represent a… Continue reading

    Self- Reflection

Reblogged from My Profound Thoughts…. highly recommended read… I was in the garage this afternoon with my husband sorting things when I found this old notebook I used while working at Escorts Hospital, New Delhi—the Notebook of a Cardiac Nurse. I worked there 15 years ago. We had regular study sessions as a Cardiac Superspecialty… Continue reading

    Can we discuss smelly shoes?

What strategies do you use to increase comfort in your daily life? I don’t know about you, but I find it’s the small things that bring comfort, ease stress, and make the day tolerable, even pleasurable. And although I haven’t thought much about it until now, shoes play a major role in that for me.… Continue reading

Oh, collectables, you had me at clutter

What could you let go of, for the sake of harmony? Such a great question. Should be easy, right? Give something up, get harmony and peace in return. But it’s so much more complex than that. In our house, the thing that gives me an ongoing sense of frustration is the sheer volume of collectables… Continue reading

We can do better. Yes, you and me! Well, mostly me.

Makes me laugh. And cry. These memes, gifs, images, motivational posts, inspirational quotes. My social media accounts are full of them. Every single day. Pics, quotes, goals, challenges. It’s constant. And it’s filling up my life, but it’s not filling up my bucket. If we are friends on the socials, you might suggest I am… Continue reading

    Appreciate the small things

What a beautiful day in Adelaide today. We are out and about running errands, but honestly, who could resist tipping their hat to this delightful day. Indulgent, perhaps, but I grabbed a few minutes in the sun and took a pic to capture this sweet moment.  Now, to be clear, I would never begrudge ducks,… Continue reading

    Music. A rambling.

What is your favorite genre of music? If you’ve read some of my other posts, you’ll know that we recently did a road trip up through Central Australia (not to brag but it was an awesome trip!!!) There are large parts of the Aussie landscape that have poor, if any, day to day internet coverage.… Continue reading
