I’d be taking a fresh new look at how our taxpayer funds are distributed and ensuring that there are adequate dollars allocated for healthcare and homelessness. It’s not to say that other policy areas are not important. In fact, many policy areas are just as critical as medicine and housing, but there is an immediate need to find more money for more beds and more homes given that poor quality of health and lack of accommodation can have further social, economic and other health impacts for the community.
