Exploding glass

Write about your most epic baking or cooking fail.

I was making a beef stroganoff and placed the (glass) lid on the saucepan to stop the splatters. I turned my back for a moment, and next minute, the glass lid exploded. Shattered glass was everywhere.

After all the cleaning up was done, it was a takeaway night.

Epic fail, friends.

    Ooh scary! I had something similar happen but the tempered glass just cracked. I still had to throw it all out. I didn’t want to risk even the smallest glass fragment.
